Chapel Off Chapel is the City of Stonnington’s premier arts centre. Great performance venues and gallery spaces, in and over the foyer, make Chapel Off Chapel the first choice for those seeking out the best of Melbourne arts.

Audiences love the Chapel for many reasons - stylish surrounds, friendly staff, a great bar and the excitement of getting up close and personal with the arts. These all combine to keep locals and visitors alike returning again and again.

The intimate 250 seat Chapel (in the converted former Independent Church of Prahran) has lured a steady string of stars - Shirley Bassey, Noel Gallagher and Wolfmother are just a few names on the long (and growing) list of artists who have enjoyed its reverent atmosphere and sweet acoustics. It is best known as the home to the popular “Live at the Chapel” series.

The Chapel Loft, a smaller 100-seater, is a popular venue for intimate music and independent theatre and has launched many home-grown successes. The Chapel Galleries host exhibitions of visual art from community groups, local artists and educational groups as well as renowned artists.

Community Classes and Workshops available at Chapel Off Chapel include children’s theatrical dance, Model Academy classes, Hey Dee Ho music for Tinies, tennis courts for hire, aerobics and exercise to music for the over 40s.
